ABOUT US

Edwin van Gorp was born in 1969 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Already at a young age Edwin couldn’t stay at one place for long and he wanted to see the world, preferably by sailboat. His biggest passion is sailing. It is on a boat, with the sails hoisted up and the sound of the water that Edwin finds peace. His other hobbies are filming and editting. He loves to be creative.

Sandra Wijnveldt was born in 1975. She has a Dutch father and a French mother. She is born in The Hague, the Netherlands, but lived most of her youth abroad together with her parents. Already at a very young age Sandra was involved with animal protection, environmental issues and helping deprived children. At school she was very active, organizing meetings or collecting petitions to e.g. protect the
elephants, tigers and whales. When she was 13 she gave a speech to her entire school about how important it is to respect and protect the rainforests. Later she became more involved in saving children from illegal child slavery and child prostitution.
Sandra’s biggest passion is travelling. Not only does she love the adventure of travelling, but also studying different cultures, meeting new people and seeing new environments. She calls it “enriching her
senses”; the new tastes, new smells, new sounds, the new things to see and touch... That’s why when she turned 20, she decided to travel by herself to India and Nepal for 2 1/2 months. This was an unforgetable experience, an amazing trip that would stay in her head for the rest of her life. While flying back from Nepal to Europe she made a promise to herself that she would come back to Nepal to help this wonderful country.
Her dream is to travel around the world together with her family to explore our beautiful planet Earth.

Zoë van Gorp was born in 1998 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, but she moved with her parents to the south of Spain when she was 2 1/2 years old. She looks like a typical Dutch girl; blond, tall, blue eyes, but she definitely inherited the “travellers virus” from her parents. Zoë is a happy and friendly girl, very creative and at the age of 3 she was already fluent in Dutch, Spanish and English. Her dream is to travel with her parents and pets to discover new countries, meet children from all over the world and help animals and people in need.
